DF S3 Day 3 Impressions
Ok, going to make this a bit shorter today.
Basically, brewmaster is still feeling strong.
Also, tyranical keys are hard. Require strong plus sign class (healer) and good mechanics.
Neltharion's Lair and Vortex pinnacle are BANNED until nerfed lol... Easily 3-4 key levels harder than other keys. Last boss in brackenhide also is not really killable at +19-20 at ~424ish item level with consistency in a general comp.
Some notable learning moments
- Ulduman 2nd and 3rd boss slap. On the second boss you need to manage stuns to prevent overlaps with the bleed.
- Halls of infusion isn't that bad (to my surprise)
- Neltharus is hard, but totally doable. The trick is living the first boss, second boss, third boss, and fourth boss... But really, on the first boss - break 2 chains (stacks debuff), then let debuff fall off -> then break last chain. Leave the last chain on your tankiest dps (it always goes on the three dps players)
- Freehold and underrot are the new SMBG (for now). For some groups underrot is literally 3 chestable at 17, and VP/NL can't even be timed. I was kind of worried about 2nd boss tantrum, but it must be tunned differently this expansion - because I recall in BFA that was a big gear/healer/defensive check. Time will tell if that's still the case.
Still having a lot of fun in keys. Feeling a little sad about not raiding/getting fed gear, but I think this will resolve itself over the next month. At this point, doing mechanics correctly and having good routes is going to be more important than having 4 set as soon as everybody else.
