S2 week 1 M+ impression
First off, I'm happy with the rapid attention to very overtuned M+ bosses (NL, VP, Neltharus). This really reduced the pain points this week.
Brew felt very strong. There were only a couple of places were I was ever worried about dying, even on high keys. Our damage output really helped with some of the bosses.
I'm having fun in all the dungeons, Freehold, Underrot, Neltharus, Ulduman, HoI, BH are all bangers. VP/NL are ok. It's been interesting to see the development of boss tech, skip tech, and M+ meta. I'm looking forwards to feeling out fortified next week. As usual, I'm expecting brew to perform a little worse on fortified weeks. I'll definitely be testing out ilvl ring/secondary stat weapon vs diurnas/crag tusk. If anywhere, fort week is where this will be needed. A 421 socketed diurna's ring vs a 441-447 ring is a big difference, and may have a significant defensive effect.
Gearing has been FAST. I've been surprised how much damage whetstone still does. I haven't run into anything that beats it yet. I did get a 431 Irideus Fragment which gives ~3000-4500 agility for 20 seconds. You definitely notice this defensively and it makes you significantly more tanky. This trinket + weapons of order is a major defensive, and you'll feel very tanky. This trinket is simming about 1000-3000 below a 415 whetstone, and whetstone still does like 10% of overall damage - so that's kind of interesting. I'm looking forwards to getting some of the damage raid trinkets like Beacon to the Beyond to see how they stack up. I'm expecting they'll do very well.
Other item's I got and tested out
- Frenzying Signol Flare - did 2-3% of my overall damage, seemed underwhelming.
- Bile-Stained Crawg Tusks did %2 of my single target damage, I think this is really good.
PS: I crafted the 447 weapon. I'll probably go for boots next week. Looking forwards to getting some sparks so I can have all my embelisments back and upgrade my battle res bracers (SHEESH)...
PSS: Yes, annulet is still insane and you should basically always use it (at least for now, based on my current testing).
